Exporting Processes to Other Environments

To use a process in a live production environment or to test a process in a dedicated testing environment, you must export it from one environment to another. This is required for new processes as well as for updated processes.

You may also need to export a process if you are developing it in one environment but need to work on it for a while in an independent and disconnected environment, such as a laptop, and then return it with the changes to the original environment.

You can also export a process to create a backup or record of an application at a given point in time.

Exporting a process to another environment involves two tasks, in the following order:

These tasks may be repeated if an archive file is moved from system to system or if a process is updated repeatedly and the updates need to be reflected in the other environment.
