Defining operations in your process diagram

You use operations to define the steps in the process diagram for your process version. You will use operations to represent the people involved in your automated process and for performing operations to data in your automated process. You will add the following operations in your process diagram to satisfy the established business process:

To define the operations in the process diagram:

  1. In the Services view, select Foundation > Set Value - 1.0.
  2. Drag the Execute operation to the upper-left corner of the LOW RISK swimlane.
  3. In the Properties view, in the General category, perform the following tasks:
  4. In the Services view, select Process Management > User - 1.0.
  5. Drag two Assign Task operations to these locations in the specified order:
  6. In the LOW RISK swimlane, select the AssignTask1 operation and, in the Properties view, in the General category, perform these tasks:
  7. In the HIGH RISK swimlane, select the AssignTask2 operation and, in the Properties view, in the General category, perform these tasks:
  8. Save your process version.

You have defined the process diagram for your process version, which should look like this illustration.

on the left-side and one on the right-side. Lastly, a SetValue operation on the right-side of the first swim lane.

Hi,

I am using LC workbench 8.1 trail version, I tried to implement mortgageLoan example (available @ http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/es/wb_help/00000452.html) and while working with process designer, I need to use "assing Task Operations" component to specify the routing but this component is not available under services view of
"Process Management > User -1.0".

So to make this component available under services view I came to know that I need to import the corresponding jar file.

Can someone guide me how to download this jar file or suggest me how to reslove this issue.

thanks in advance.

regards,
sudheer.

Hi,

you are correct that you need to have the Process Management ES product component installed, since it provides the User service. When you installed LiveCycle ES, the trial serial number that you were provided should have caused this service to be installed.

You can also manually deploy service components. See http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/es/wb_help/00001184.html.

The component file that provides the User service is adobe-taskmanager-dsc.jar, which is installed in the <install directory>/Adobe/LiveCycle/Deploy directory.

I hope that helps

Hello.

I don't have in my services the Process Management > User - 1.0.
I've followed the instructions, and i checked the deploy folder and there it was, adobe-taskmanager-dsc.jar .
I´ve tried to install the component, and it was sucessfully installed, bue the service still not there.
It only appears with de default render, the stalt and the wait point.

If someone could help with this, otherwise i could not make the tutorial.

Regards,

Mancini.

Hello,

It does not sound like you have a turkey installation of LiveCycle ES Update 1. You might want to start with a turnkey installation as suggested in the Requirements (http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/es/wb_help/00000409.html)

To install a Turnkey installation, see http://www.adobe.com/go/learn_lc_installTurnkey_82. I'm presuming you have serial number that allows you to install the Process Management ES component. If not, please reply and we can provide you some alternatives.

Hope that helps.
