Modifying your swimlanes

You can rename swimlanes to better describe their purpose. You can also change their size and color. You will name one swimlane LOW RISK and the other swimlane HIGH RISK.

Tip:   You can also modify the height of a swimlane by dragging the lower border up or down.

To rename the swimlanes in your pool:

1. In the process diagram, select SWIMLANE0. The SWIMLANE0 properties appear in the Properties view.
2. Click the General property group. A list of properties appears.
3. In the Properties view, click the General category and type the following information:
   • In the Label box, type LOW RISK to replace SWIMLANE0.
   • In the Height box, type in 250.
   • In the Description box, type Fin@nce Corp. representatives who approve loans that are low risk..
4. Select SWIMLANE1 in the process diagram.
5. In Properties view, click the General category and perform the following tasks:
   • In the Label box, type HIGH RISK to replace SWIMLANE1.
   • Click the ellipses button beside Color and, in the Color palette, select the color red and then click OK.
   • In the Height box, type in 250.
   • In the Description box, type Fin@nce Corp. representatives who approve loans that are high risk..
6. Save your process version.

You have modified the names, height, and colors of the swimlanes in your pool. Your process diagram should look like the following illustration.
