Creating the process to handle mortgage applications

You will create a process to automate the routing of mortgage applications at Fin@nce Corporation. When you create a process, you can create additional process categories to organize your processes. You will create a process category to store loan-related processes.

To create a process to handle mortgage applications:

  1. Ensure that you are logged in to the LiveCycle ES server and are in the LiveCycle Process Design perspective. For information, see Logging in to a LiveCycle ES server.
  2. Select File > New > New Process. The New Process dialog box appears.
  3. In the Select An Option for Creating Your Process area, select Create A New Process, and then click Next.
  4. In the Name box, type MortgageLoan.
  5. Click New. The New Process Category dialog box appears.
  6. In the Name box, type Loans and, in the Description box, type Loan processes, and then click Finish.
  7. In the New Process dialog box, in the Category list, ensure that Loans is selected.
  8. In the Description box, type Process for routing mortgage loan requests..
  9. Click Browse. An Open dialog box appears.
  10. Browse to the location where you downloaded files required for this tutorial, select houseImage.jpg file, and click Open. The image appears in the Process Image area as shown in the illustration below.

    Note:   The location where you select the image may be different if you copied the images required for this tutorial to a different location.

  11. Click Next, accept the defaults provided, and then click Finish.

You have created a process named MortgageLoan, which you will see in the Processes view. You will see a process version created automatically beneath the MortgageLoan process. In addition, an editor named MortgageLoan:1.0 (Edit Mode) appears. Workbench ES should look like the following illustration.
