Changing Text Field types to Drop-down List types

As you work on your form design, you may want the applicant to enter information into a field by selecting from a list of predefined values. You will change the Term and InterestRate fields to a Drop-down List object and provide predefined values that appear in the drop-down list.

To change a Text Field type to a Drop-down List type:

  1. In the Hierarchy palette, select Term.
  2. In the Object palette, click the default Field tab and, in the Type list, select Drop-down List.
  3. Click Add , type 5, and then press the Enter key.
  4. Type the values 10,15,20, 25 and 30, pressing the Enter key after each entry.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 for InterestRate, but type the values 5.00, 5.50, and 6.00.
  6. Save your form design.

You have changed a Text Field object to a Drop-Down List object and added items to each drop-down list.
