Creating a form design

Using Workbench ES, you can create a new form design based on a blank form.

To create a form design:

  1. Ensure that you are logged in to the server and have the LiveCycle Form Design perspective open. For information, see Logging in to a LiveCycle ES server.
  2. Select File > New > Adobe XML Form File (PDF). The New PDF Import Template dialog box appears.
  3. Select LiveCycle ES Server > Forms. The selected folder appears in the Enter Or Select The Parent Folder box.
  4. In the File Name box, type MortgageAppForm.pdf and then click Finish.

You have created your blank form design. It will appear in the LiveCycle Designer ES editor, which is where you will use various palettes to create your form design.

Tip:   You can double-click the MortgageAppForm.pdf tab to maximize the work area in Workbench ES.

Tip:   In the toolbar, you can click to zoom in to the form design. You will need to scroll to navigate to different areas in your form design.
