About the Reader Extensions Service
The Reader Extensions service enables your organization to easily share interactive PDF documents by extending the functionality of Adobe Reader. The Reader Extensions service fully supports any PDF document, up to and including PDF 1.7. It works with Adobe Reader 7.0 and later. The service adds usage rights to a PDF document, activating features that are not usually available when a PDF document is opened using Adobe Reader. Third party users do not require additional software or plug-ins to work with the rights-enabled documents.
You can accomplish these tasks using the Reader Extensions service:

A thorough explanation of what rights can be set would be helpful. Additionally, if we are a Livecycle 7.x customer, how do the usage rights documented in 7.x Developers guide map to the Livecycle ES options in both Forms service as well as the Reader Extension service. Naming convention is different, so it is unclear what if any mapping there is. Very confusing.

The new 8 usage Rights are specified in the service guide. The 7.x rights and 8 rights are different. You apply 8 rights using the Reader Extensions 8 API.
