DDX basics
DDX is a declarative markup language whose elements represent building blocks of documents, rather than commands to be executed.
When you create DDX, you describe the desired output using these building blocks, which include PDF pages and other elements such as comments, bookmarks, and styled text. Specifying output in DDX is analogous to how HTML/CSS describes desired web appearance from building blocks such as text, images and tables.
There is a schema file available for DDX, named ddx.xsd. This schema is less restrictive than this specification and mostly serves to validate that the DDX is well-formed.
