Converting Custom QPACs to Components
You must convert a custom Quick Process Action Component (QPAC) that was created in Adobe LiveCycle Workflow SDK 7.x to a LiveCycle ES component. Otherwise, you cannot use the QPAC functionality within a process created in Workbench ES or a process that was upgraded from a 7.x process. You cannot use a custom QPAC within Workbench ES.
There are some differences between a custom QPAC and a LiveCycle ES component that you should understand before converting a QPAC to a component. For example, a QPAC contains only one operation, such as sending an email message or encrypting a PDF document, while a component can contain multiple services and each service can contain multiple operations. For information, see Understanding the differences between a QPAC and a component.
This section describes how to convert a custom QPAC that sends email messages, to a LiveCycle ES component that sends email messages.
Tip: Before you convert a QPAC to a component, it is recommended that you have a good understanding about how to create components. (See Creating Your First Component.)
