Using a prebuilt form design

If you want to follow only this part of the tutorial that deals with creating a LiveCycle ES process, you must first add the form that will be used in the process to the LiveCycle Workbench ES repository. Then, you should open the form and examine a set of special fields that are required for accessing the form in LiveCycle Workspace ES.

To add the form:

  1. On your computer, browse to the location where you have downloaded and extracted the files required for this tutorial. See Requirements for details.
  2. Drag the MortgageLoanAppForm.pdf file to the Forms folder in the Resources view.

To examine Process Fields:

  1. In the Resources view, double-click the MortgageLoanAppForm.pdf file. The form opens in the LiveCycle Process Design perspective.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the form to view the fields located there.

Bottom of the form design shows Process Fields

These fields, called Process Fields, are custom fields that have specific data-binding names that enable your form for use in Workspace ES. For details about how to prepare forms for LiveCycle Process Management ES, see LiveCycle Designer ES Help.
