Exporting Processes and Resources

At some point in your process development cycle, you may need to export your processes and resources to another location. For example:

To export your processes or resources from one environment to another, you use an archive file. An archive file is a compressed file that contains multiple processes and repository resources (see Archive files).

Exporting processes and resources to another environment involves these tasks, performed in the following order:

  1. In LiveCycle Workbench ES, export the required processes and resources, by creating a new or updating an existing archive file. (See Creating archive files and Updating archive files.)
  2. In LiveCycle Administration Console, use the archive file to import the processes into another server. (See "Managing LiveCycle ES Archives" in Applications and Services Administration Help.)

These tasks may be repeated if an archive file is moved from system to system or if a process is updated repeatedly and the updates need to be reflected in the other environment.
