Working with gateway elements

Add a gateway element so that you can add one or more branches to the process diagram. Including a branch in a gateway element is similar to including a different subprocess in your process diagram.

When you first add a gateway element, it contains one branch and no other elements. You can add elements and additional branches as required.

Note: You cannot add gateway elements to transactional branches or short-lived processes.
