You can import the content of a PDF document that was created in Adobe Acrobat or another application as the background artwork for a new PDF form. To do so, you must first create a blank PDF and then import the PDF you want to use as artwork into the blank PDF. You can then add objects on top of the artwork.
You create a form design by creating a PDF or XDP file and then dragging objects onto the Layout Editor. Or you can drag objects that are defined in an XML schema onto the Layout Editor.
You can design a PDF form to run on a specific version of Acrobat and Adobe Reader. The target version feature in LiveCycle Designer ES displays warning messages when you try to use objects that the selected target version does not support. See "To select the Acrobat and Adobe Reader target version" in LiveCycle Designer ES Help.
