Renaming your pool

A process diagram is used to visually represent the operations that occur in your business process. Pools contain a number of swimlanes and identify the participants in a process, and are often used to represent an organization or business entity.

You will rename the pool to describe the business process where an applicant applies for a mortgage with an organization called Fin@nce Corporation.

To rename your pool in the process version:

  1. On the MortgageLoan 1:0 tab, click the text POOL to select the pool. The POOL properties appear in the Properties view.

    Note:   If the Properties view is not visible, select Window > Show View > Properties.

  2. In the Properties view, in the Name box, type FIN@NCE CORPORATION and, in the Description box, type External facing business process used to route mortgage applications based on the mortgage amount..

You have renamed the pool in your process version.
