Adding default values

You can specify the default values for the fields to reduce the amount of text a form filler may need to type.You will add default values to the PropertyPrice, DownPayment, InterestRate, and Term fields.

To add a default value to a field:

1. In the Hierarchy palette, select PropertyPrice.
2. In the Object palette, click the Value tab and, in the Default box, type 0.
3. Repeat steps 1-2, specifying the default for the following fields:
   • For DownPayment, in the Default box, type 0.
   • For Term, in the Default list, select 5.
   • For InterestRate, in the Default list, select 5.00.

You have specified default values to populate field values in your form design.
