Next, you add headings to your form design. The headings are form labels that are used to separate groups of fields that a form filler may fill.

To add headings to your form design:

  1. In the Object Library palette, in the Standard category, drag the Text object onto the form design and position it below the first set of instructions, -2.5 in from the top of the page and 0.5 in from the left margin.
  2. Double-click the text in the text object and change it to size 14, bold.
  3. With the text still selected, type Step 1: Mortgage Information:.
  4. In the Hierarchy palette, rename the Text1 object to Step1.
  5. Duplicate the Step1 object.
  6. In the Hierarchy palette, rename the Step1[1] object to Step2.
  7. Position the Step2 object 4 in from the top of the page and 0.5 in from the left margin.
  8. Select the Step1: Mortgage Information: text and then type Step 2: Applicant Information:.
