This release of LiveCycle Workbench ES has several new and improved features.
This new testing tool allows you to record a process as it executes and then play the recording back to observe what is happening when the process runs. The playback feature allows you to see which routes are followed when the process is executed and to examine the values that are assigned to variables at various steps of the execution.
See Recording and playing back process versions.
You can now validate your process at any point of the process development cycle. A Validate command creates the Validation Report that you can examine in the Validation Report view. The report contains messages about problems that must be addressed to enable successful execution of the process and potential problems that may cause unwanted behavior. Each message is linked to the process element that caused it, allowing you to quickly fix the problems.
See Validating process versions.
A new toolbar that has abstract modelling elements allows you to quickly draw basic process steps and flow in the early stages of the process development. Later, you can specify the actual service operations or event types for each abstract element.
See Abstract modelling elements.
Before you modify or delete a resource (for example, an image), you can quickly check if it is referenced by other resources, such as different forms or fragments.
See Viewing resource relationships.
An archive file that is used to export processes and resources can now contain multiple processes and/or unrelated resources. A simple wizard guides you through the process of creating an archive and selecting its contents.
See Exporting Processes and Resources.
You can now set the values for configuration parameters that store data that is constant for all process instances. When a process instance is created, the values of the configuration parameters are retrieved and used for the duration of the process instance.
An XDC Editor can now be installed with Workbench ES. It is used to create or modify XDC files, printer description files in XML format.
