Using the LiveCycle ES Java interfaces and classes, you can develop client applications, such as J2EE entity beans, that run within an Enterprise JavaBeans™ (EJB) container that interact with LiveCycle ES services.
For direct consumption of the LiveCycle ES service WSDLs on native SOAP stacks, see "Invoking LiveCycle ES Using Web Services" in Programming with LiveCycle ES .
Before you start developing applications using the APIs, it is recommended that you first read the "Invoking LiveCycle ES" portion of the Programming with LiveCycle ES , which describes the different ways in which to invoke LiveCycle ES services. You can develop a client application that uses each service's API in a Java development environment or in an environment that permits you to use its exposed WSDL, such as Microsoft® Visual Studio .NET.
To programmatically interact with content services, you have to use Alfresco based APIs. These APIs are not part of the LiveCycle ES API. To view Alfreso Javadocs, click here.
