Automatic Conversion of source documents to PDF documents

In LiveCycle ES, if the type of a source file for a <PDF> element is not a PDF file but is a type that LiveCycle Output ES or PDF Generator ES can convert to PDF, the Assembler service invokes the appropriate service to perform that conversion as part of building the result document. A partial list of supported file types includes the following file types:

•	Microsoft Word,

•

Excel

•	Powerpoint

•

Visio

•

Publisher

•	Adobe PostScript®

•

Adobe XDP

•

Autocad

•

HTML

The specific conversion settings to be used are controlled using the <PFDGenerationSettings> or <XFA ConversionSettings> elements as appropriate. See (PDFGenerationSettings) or (XFAConversionSettings).
