Running JRun in a complex distributed environment

Another common scenario is if your customer has multiple web servers and adds a computer dedicated as a JRun server. The following figure shows this complex distributed environment:

Macromedia recommends this way to configure JRun in a complex distributed environment.

To connect one JRun server to multiple web servers:

  1. Configure each web server machine to communicate with the JRun server using the instructions in "Running JRun in a simple distributed environment".
  2. Ensure that the ProxyService interface attribute is set appropriately, as described in "Simple distributed installation".
