I second the request for more .NET, C# tutorials. I am in an environment of VB, C#.NET and Windows developers. I need to be able to test and learn Flash Remoting on my own, before attempting to win these guys over.

Please not that using Flash Remoting within the Visual Studio.NET environment is slightly different than using Remoting the .NET framework natively. It would be a good thing to have some documentation about this too.

i just wanted to echo the above comments.. flash remoting is awesome, but some more documentation for .NET developers would surely be nice

I agree with the above comments. I have been chewing on any tutorial I can find on macromedia.com relating to Remoting and .NET. It seems to me the tutorials try to oversimplify Flash Remoting. It is not an easy environment to setup, especially when macromedia has AS 1.0 examples AS 2.0 and several different versions of Flash remoting and components. One thing that I think would help everyone out is if macromedia DATED THEIR ARTICLES, DOWNLOADS, and TUTORIALS. So developers can easily find the most recent information.

Also post a beginning to end tutorial on Flash remoting with all the current downloads needed for setting up the .NET framework with all the the correct DLL's needed by flash remoting.

I agree with you all.
Flash Remoting seems to be great (from all what is written about), but i'm fighting with over and over. The documentation mostly refers to AS1 and .NET SDK. I work with VisualStudio.NET (VB) and AS2, and I couldn't find any good resource or samples. It's all different from the AS1.

I already hink to settle with some other way of connection....this is just not it!

and my big question is know how to test the project!
Is just press "ctrl+enter"?
or I only can test it when runing a html file whit the swf under the IIS server? And How I know that flash is comunicating whit the ASPX page and vice-versa?

I´m also dont understend what is the reason for the file gateway.aspx is that file doesn't have nothing in it.

I agree whit all the folks here more tutorials are needed! And explainig how to work whit the Visual Studio.

I will continue reading and trying until have this thing working!

I am new to Remoting. I am working on c# ASP.NET files from within Visual Studio.NET. I installed FLash MX Pro 2004 and FLash Remoting. I placed the flashgateway.dll in the bin folder of my application.
Now when I try to compile my code it throws an error saying that it cannot recognize the flash component. (ofcourse i am using c# as code behind). What am I doing wrong. How can I get this fixed so that I can start writing my applications. Please please help.
