There really needs to be a way to adjust the rendering quality of individual movie clips. For example, right now I'm working on a project that uses a lot of transparent circular gradients. Testing the scene with and without them, I can see that they cause almost all of the delay in rendering; but when I render in low quality mode, I can get back almost all the lost speed, with absolutely no visible difference to these shadows. Unfortunately, this means rendering all the other graphics in low-quality mode as well, even though their rendering has almost no impact on the frame rate.
