Toolbox,

You'll find all of the Flash Remoting docs here:

The ActionScript2.0 Language Reference is available for download as "stand-alone HTML"... but why not the Components Language Reference?

It would be GREATLY appreciated if it were offerred for download. PDF's are great... if you're going to be printing them out (which I'm not) and LiveDocs is great, but sometimes slow... and local HTML reference would be absolutely great! I mean, the browser's always open anyway... i don't want huge PDF's taking up memory and slowing down my system. (having to have both AS2.0 Lang Ref && Components Lang Ref open at the same time!)

please?

Hi there,

The ASLR and Components references are developed in different ways (for this release), which is why the ASLR is available in the HTML format you see it in. The Components language reference is output as HTML files, and read through the Help panel - which is a fast way to view it locally, especially since (in theory) Flash will also be open at the same time.

If you do want to view it through a browser, you could use the files on your system from here:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash 8\en\Configuration\HelpPanel\Help\ComponentRef

You could utilize the files however you like (remember to save a backup!), or view/navigate through them using the help_index.html file in that folder. That is the index of the Components lang ref. That said, your feedback about a quick HTML system is noted :)

Hi!
Where can I to see more information about DepthManager class (except 'Components Language Reference'?
'Components Language Reference' have absolutly full information about methods, but don't have important data about the concept of the definition of the depth, Components and MovieClips (in context using with Components together).
I find about this theme only one Tech. Note 'removeMovieClip action fails when button component is on stage', but may be anything more?
