I purchased Premiere Pro CS3 online yesterday. I have 5 executables and 1 .7z file (2GB). Now what? Just start clicking? I can do that, but that's not always the best way. I'm looking for clear, simple installation instructions, so I can to LiveDocs. The LiveDocs instructions say, "put the disk into your CD drive and follow the onscreen instructions." Nice. As a software maker, this is unprofessional of Adobe. Can you honestly say that nobody there thought enough to include install instructions for those who purchase online and download? Competent software manufacturers shouldn't overlook something so obvious. I guess I'll just start clicking, but it would have been nice to have a simple install guideline. I'm already frustrated because the download failed three times yesterday (I think I finally got it all. Nothing told me clearly the # of files I should have, nor their filenames and sizes. I called the toll free number, waited on hold for a long time, finally spoke with some woman from India or Mars, and when she realized my trouble was too much for her, the connection suddenly dropped. Nice. Again, inexcusable for a leading company. I know that it doesn't really have to be that hard. Are your anti-hacker efforts making things nearly impossible for legitimate customers? Doesn't sound like a wise business strategy. I rarely complain (since it's usually a waste of time), but I'm telling you this for your sake. No customer who lays out cash online should have such troubles. Good luck--to you and me!

The "Read Me" file referred to on this page is also among the files you receive when purchasing by download. It is named ReadMe.html. It includes the following installation instructions:
Before you install, close all applications currently running on your system—including other Adobe applications, Microsoft Office applications, and browser windows.

Do one of the following:
Windows:
Insert the DVD in your drive, and follow the on-screen instructions. If the installer does not launch automatically, navigate to the Adobe CS3 folder found at the root level on your disc and double-click Setup.exe to start the installation process.
If you downloaded the software from the web, open the folder, navigate to the Adobe CS3 folder, double-click Setup.exe, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Mac:
Insert the DVD in your drive, and follow the on-screen instructions. If the installer does not launch automatically, navigate to the application folder found at the root level on your disc and double-click Setup to start the installation process.
If you downloaded the software from the web, open the folder, navigate to the application folder, double-click Setup, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: In order to install additional components or reinstall your software after your original installation, you will need access to the original installer (DVD or the download from the web). Before you begin additional installations or reinstallations, please make sure the installer is in the same drive or location it was during the original installation.

I have downloaded and have tried numerous times to install Adobe Premiere CS3. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and continue to get failed componant install and shared failed componant. i have followed the instructions to the dot. This is only the 30 day trial why is this so hard to do in this day and age where computers and software have been around for 30 years or more and Adobe cannot find a way to install their own software without it shutting down or conflicting other adobe software? I do not have the time or care to spend hours trying to install a product, would somone care to explain this to me in my email?
