Photoshop CS3  |  Go to CS4 Help

Use the Undo or Redo commands

The Undo and Redo commands let you undo or redo operations. You can also use the History palette to undo or redo operations.

Choose Edit > Undo or Edit > Redo.

If an operation can’t be undone, the command is dimmed and changes to Can’t Undo.

Now that I can't use my dear friend IMageReady, I have no quick way to undo. I don't WANT to have to go to history!!

Give me the back my ability to do multiple undo's - using CTRL Z up to 32 times like IMageReady! Is there any way to do this in PS CS3??

The keyboard command for multiple undos is not working. I can click Edit > Step Backward a million times but that sucks and I don't want to bother with History either. Is there some way to enable this again? The menu item shows me the key bindings, but nothing happens when I try it. That keyboard shortcut is crucial! Seems the more I get to know CS3, the less I like it. Things seem more complicated now instead of less so.

Can someone please answer these questions/comments. I just bought PSCS3 and I am shocked to see that there is only 1 UNDO! why? I have spent the last 45 minutes in Help, web, etc. and cannot see where to adjust the UNDO so that it can be indefinite. Can someone show/tell me how to do this? I used to use Elements 5, a $80.00 program, now I spend Xs that much money on a program that is som simple it can only do 1 UNDO. why? And how do I get PSCS3 to do multiple UNDOs. thank-you.

thanks for your prompt reply.

I am very new to PS3, so I was frustrated, but in a short period of time I was able to figure out how to work the "Undo", which is actually the log, and then you just go back a few steps and click on the edited version you want, and then go forward from there again, if you want to. I haven't used it in a couple weeks, darn day job getting in the way of fun projects. I can't quite remember what the name of that log is, but you open the window on the side of the picture display, and there you, limitless undo's.
It is actually quite a bit better than a simple "Undo" I like it!!
The PS3 help was very useful in pointing me to the right direction.
As I get more used to PS3 it appears to be quite good, although I have not had a lot of time and I am still on that learning curve to figure where the buttons are and what they do, and what i can do with the program.
Anyway, back to the grind of my day-job, terrible time tog et busy with the great weather, and the fall colours and the full moon- and I had to concentrate on work. the fall colours don't last long and if you miss a week or two of them, the good picture opportunities are gone.
