Photoshop Lightroom

Rearrange photos in the Grid view

In the Grid view, do any of the following to rearrange photos in the grid:
  • Click the Sort Direction icon  in the toolbar.

  • Choose a sort option from the Sort pop-up menu in the toolbar.

  • Drag from the center of a thumbnail to sort in any order.

Note: You cannot drag to rearrange the order of photos in Grid view when they are in a folder that contains a subfolder of more photos.

For a video on sorting photos, see www.adobe.com/go/learn_lr_video_sort.

I think you should be able to move the images in Lightroom so you can put
them in the right order. As we shoot with more than one camera for an event
and sometimes it can't get the right order. So I have been taking it into bridge
to arrange how I want which is a real pain.

Yup.... I am having the same problem... Instead of being forced to set ratings and stuff I would like to simply drag and drop my thumbnails into the order that I desire... This is easy to accomplish on bridge yet a pain in lightroom... please fix it :)

Same problem, I can't sort photo's in my collection using "drag and drop" due to their being in a subfolder. Any suggestions? Khall29

Guess what ,I am not able to drag and drop in the quick collection. Did I somehow created a folder with a subfolder when I created the quick collection?. I do not understand. HELP
