Hi, more a question than a comment

I just purchased Adobe InDesign. I have played around with the program and briefly worked through the Live Training however did not find what I was looking for, hoping you can help?

I need to import a PDF into InDesign and edit some text. Can InDesign perform this function for me or not and if so can someone provide me with an explanation on how to do this?

Thanks
Andre

It depends, but probably not. A PDF is basically a snapshot of another document. You can use Adobe Acrobat to make minor edits to the PDF, but your best bet is to make the changes in the original application (such as Word) and then save as PDF again. The one exception is importing a PDF file from Illustrator. Under some conditions, you can edit its paths in InDesign.
