Importing XML

Hi!
I work with a lot of XML documents embedded with MathMl. Indesign doesnt seem to be able to parse the math data, integers, functions etc.
This makes the whole process of ease with XML not so easy, as we have to go and place math equations as figures.
Can someone help with this
