I really like this effect but I am not able to figure out why when I load the page, the image starts off at GROW size and not shrink size. I have set up to start at 150px wide so why does it start at the larger size of 600px?jefbak said on Oct 19, 2007 at 10:04 AM :
Add an "onLoad" behavior to set the static size and then add a second behavior for the shrink or grow on mouse click or mouse hover. No screen name said on Nov 5, 2007 at 12:45 PM :

I have searched high and low for this answer and I can not beleive that there is not an answer to be found. It is obviously a common question and why Adobe didn't make this a bit more intuitive is beyond me. I am not quite sure when you would want an image full size and then have it shrink.brokenreality said on Jan 24, 2008 at 7:17 AM :
I found a nice little piece of info on this page. It utilizes CSS to hide whatever spry object initially.ddbbcvega said on Mar 9, 2008 at 3:51 PM :

Ok I started with down sizing the picture by 90% then when I applied the grow I did it from 100% to 1000% and it works fine just kind of a pain
