Setting Status Bar preferences

This dialog box allows you to specify preferences for what appears in the status bar.

To specify Status Bar preferences:

  1. Specify the following options:

Window Sizes lets you customize the window sizes that appear in the status bar's pop-up menu. (See Resizing the Document window.)

Connection Speed determines the connection speed (in kilobits per second) used to calculate the download size. The download size for the page is displayed in the status bar. When an image is selected in the Document window, the image's download size is displayed in the Property inspector.

  2. Click OK to save your preferences.

Under preferences/status bar, I see a listing of preformatted options but am I am unable to change my default by selecting one of them. I can create a new preformat size but again I cannot make it active in my document window. Also from the drop down in the properties panel, the only option is edit - the preformatted defaults are grayed out. Can you help me?

You can't resize the Document window when it's maximized. That's why the size options are greyed out. Toggle the Maximize button to get a floating window, then you can pick a size. Your saved sizes should appear then as well.
