*******Does Verity Spider work on Linux?*******
The MX 6 documentation was misleading, and while it documented how to run spider, and where the vspider executable was on Linux, it did not actually exist . This was a huge roadblock for us, when *attempting* to migrate spidered projects from Win/CF 5.5 to Linux/CFMX.

I believe it does. However, there is a problem with Vspider as shipped with CFMX 7. (I think the problem is that it only spiders files, not HTTP.) You can learn more about this using the following online Forums thread: http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=142&threadid=953055&enterthread=y

In fact, questions such as yours are best answered through the online forums, not LiveDocs, which is intended for documentation-related issues only.

This forums link seems to be gone. Try http://www.adobe.com/devnet/coldfusion/articles/vspider.html for more information on vspider.
