System requirements

This section lists the system requirements for ColdFusion MX 6.1 for Windows and UNIX.

Comments are no longer accepted for ColdFusion MX 6.1. ColdFusion 8 is the current version.

I am trying to install ColdFusion 6.1 on OS X but when I run the installer I get the message:

"Warning: Running installer as non-root user
The Installer must be run as the root user and cannot continue. Log in as the root user and run the installer again."

Please advise.

I think you need to be logged on as root. If you don't know what that means, consult the OS X documentation (although it's probably buried somewhere). You might also post this question to the online forums (http://webforums.macromedia.com/coldfusion) and you can get help from fellow Mac OS X users.
