Something else to watch out about using category and category tree attribs. They are case sensitive. When you use them in cfsearch, make sure you get the case correct... This drove us nuts for a few hours...

The category attribute accepts a comma-delimited list of categories. Be careful you don't use spaces though, or they will end up in the categories. Some of the CF documentation and/or CF articles show the list as having spaces. Using spaces will just drive you insane since this category list : 'cat1, cat2, cat3' will give you categories of 'cat1' and ' cat2' and ' cat3'

Although the extensions attribute is listed as optional, I've found I have to include it to get CFINDEX to index files. I wanted to include all file types, and I finally noticed in this doc that I can do that with ".*". Should you list this attribute as required for indexing files?

(example #4) Also when you have relative paths in your DB you can't use variables in your key attribute. The solution is to add it in your query first:<br /><br />SELECT '#REQUEST.documentStoragePath#' + p.FilePath AS FullPathToFile,

The docs do not make this clear - but when using a query to index data, both category and categorytree can reference db columns.
