Uninstalling previous versions after installing CF 8
After you install CF 8, but _before_ you uninstall the previous version (CFMX through CF 7), please read http://www.adobe.com/go/b41d02c5, which describes steps you take to prevent accidental deletion of the CFIDE and cfdocs directories.

It would be helpful to have instructions on how to remove CFMX 7. My installation (multiserver configuration) appears to have no way to uninstall it. Nothing under Start > Programs. Nothing under Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.

I could find instructions on macromedia.com for manually unistalling CFMX 6, but not v 7.

thanks,
Chris

It's also recommended search for "typeviewer.dll" entries on the registry and delete then before re-registering.

Related TechNote: http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_18623
