CFHTTP (no odbc, no xml) is the only method I have to integrate with some legacy systems, and some of the existing handlers require the name attribute of <form>. Why? Isn't there some way to change this. You _must_ be able to tell CF _not_ to encode cookie values, particulraly when secure sites your communicating against run check-sum values against the cookie to make sure they haven't been altered!
