Ok My real question is how do you deploy different data sources to each instance of CF on the JRun for multiple instances config?

Unless I set every data source in each instance I get errors and they will not connect?

Is there documentation on this as I have search extensively, either not extensively enough or it is not where I am looking. I would appreciate any help you could provide.

The server is running but not the way I want the instances set up as far as data sources being independent.

I think ke4pym was referring to the situation in which JRun is already installed, so the "automatic expanded EAR with JRun" install is unavailable.

First of all you do not need to link to the page you suggested. This documentation is not necessary if you choose the correct install in the first place. Or am I mistaken in saying that CFMX installs the Jrun if you choose it and it is not neccessary to "expand" the files?

This page should have a link to the JRun deployment instructions. The Installing and Using ColdFusion MX book has detailed CF deployment instructions for JRun at http://livedocs.macromedia.com/coldfusion/6.1/htmldocs/instal16.htm, although you might want to start at the beginning of the chapter: http://livedocs.macromedia.com/coldfusion/6.1/htmldocs/installj.htm.
