ColdFusion provides the InputBaseN and Val functions for converting strings
to integers. For more information, see:
http://livedocs.macromedia.com/coldfusion/6.1/htmldocs/funct119.htm#wp1224918

If you are unable to resolve your problem using those functions, I recommend
that you post your issue to the online forums: http://webforums.macromedia.com/coldfusion/.
If you believe that your issue might result from a ColdFusion bug, you should also submit
a bug report on the Macromedia Feature Request/Bug Report Form.
