Sound Icon Properties

Use the Sound Icon Properties inspector to listen to a sound and specify how and when a sound plays.

Preview

The Preview box for sound icons shows the icon for the sound's file type. The Preview box is blank when no sound has been imported or the expression in the File field does not resolve to a valid sound file.

Play and Stop

Play Click Play to play a sound you have loaded, as defined by the other options you selected in the dialog box.

Sounds may not play back if their format is not compatible with the sound card.

Stop Click Stop to stop playing the sound.

Import

Click Import to select a sound to load into an Authorware piece. A file selection dialog box appears.
