Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) objects let you include content in an Authorware piece, even though it continues to exist in and can still be modified by a different application. This lets you use the current version of these objects without revising the Authorware piece. For example, you could display a spreadsheet that's being constantly updated, text that's still being revised, or the current version of a graphic that's still being edited.
