Macromedia Director movies are noted for interactivity--the ability to interpret and respond to the user, the computer, or external input.
When you import a Director 4.0 or higher movie that includes Lingo into Authorware, the Director movie can remain interactive: It behaves and responds just as it would if it were running on its own.
Any events or messages that the Director movie reacts to are used solely by the movie and not passed to Authorware. Events that the Director movie doesn't use are passed on to Authorware. The Interactivity pop-up menu, which is active only when the movie is a Director movie that contains Lingo, controls whether the movie is interactive when it plays within Authorware.
