Playing a range of frames in digital movies

Authorware can select a range of frames to play from within a digital movie. The range can be different segments of a digital movie that play at different times. You can identify frames by frame numbers, or you can use variables or other expressions. Using variables or other expressions gives you the flexibility to select different frames at different times, depending on conditions in the piece.

  1. Select a digital movie icon.
  2. Select Modify > Icon Properties
  3. Click on the Timing tab in the dialog box.

    See Display Icon.

To set the starting and ending frame for a digital movie segment:

  1. Enter a number or a variable for the starting frame in the Start Frame field.
  2. Enter a number or a variable for the last frame in the End Frame field.

See Using Variables, Functions, Xtra Extensions, and More.
