Importing a sound

To import a sound file into your Authorware piece:

  1. Drag a sound icon to the flowline.
  2. Double-click the icon to open it.
  3. In the Sound Icon Properties dialog box, click Import.
  4. Select a sound file from the list.

    Check Link to File to keep the file external instead of copying it into Authorware.

    Check Show Preview to preview the file's contents before importing it.

    Select AIFF, MP3, PCM, WAVE, VOX, or SND in the Files of type pop-up menu to narrow the file search.

  5. Click Import.
  6. Select options in the dialog box to modify the sound.

When you drag and drop a sound file in the flowline or in a library, a sound icon is created for each sound file.
