Coloring icons

You can select an icon on the flowline, and then select a color from the Color palette to add color to your icons. This helps identify customized icons you have created, as well as icons used in different sequences on the flowline. You can use it to provide a quick visual overview of related icons, help you locate particular icons, organize your piece by colored modules, indicate who is working on what part of the piece, and identify customized icons. There are 16 colors available in the Icon color palette: white, yellow, pink, green, red, blue, bright red, bright blue, fuchsia, bright green, purple, orange, gray, brown, cyan, and teal.

To apply icon colors from the Icon palette:

  1. Select an icon or icons on the flowline.
  2. Click a color in the icon color palette.

You can also apply icon colors by changing the icon's properties.

To apply icon colors using icon properties:

  3. From the pop-up menu, select another color.

You can also change colors using scripting. You can use this method if you are developing a Knowledge Object or a command, for example, and want to highlight some of the icons that are added to the flowline by your wizard.
