Creating a new project file

You can have only one file open at a time. You can create a new file without displaying the New Project dialog box, or you can create a new file and display the New Project dialog box. The New Project dialog box lets you create a new piece using Knowledge Objects.

To create a new project file using Knowledge Objects:

  1. Do one of the following:
  2. Select the Knowledge Object you want to use.
  3. Select Modify > File > Properties to set the file options.

To create a new project file without using Knowledge Objects:

  1. Select File > New > File to create a new file without displaying the New Project dialog box.

The first time you use Authorware, the New Project dialog box appears when you select File > New > File.

  2. If you do not want to display the New Project dialog box in the future, deselect Show This Dialog When Creating a New File.

When you select File > New > File in the future, the New Project dialog box will no longer appear.

  3. Select Modify > File > Properties to set the file options.
